aims

The curriculum is the whole learning experience offered by the school. It is not only all the lessons and activities which are planned, organized and provided whilst the children are at school, it is also the tone, standards, quality and discipline of the school and the attitudes and values it puts forward.

To offer an all-round education with an insistence on academic achievement.
To provide a broad and balanced curriculum which covers the subject requirements of the Italian education system, whilst offering our pupils the methodology of a British educational experience.
To help pupils to use language effectively and to increase their range and understanding of grammatically correct English by providing opportunities through speaking, listening, reading and writing.
To help pupils develop lively, enquiring minds, the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills.
To help pupils acquire knowledge and skills relevant to adult life and employment in a rapidly changing world.
To help pupils use numbers effectively and to reach a high standard of competence and understanding in mathematics for use in the adult world.
To instill a respect for moral values and tolerance of other religions, races, cultures, nationalities and ways of life, in keeping with the international context of our school.
To help pupils understand the world in which we live, the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations and to engage with other children and with adults in a variety of working and social relationships.
To develop in pupils a sense of self respect, self reliance, awareness and sensitivity to the needs of others, and an appreciation of human achievements and aspirations.
To encourage such qualities as inventiveness, curiosity and imagination which can lead to self fulfilment and the best use of leisure time.
