| There is a smooth
transition for students from the
Elementary School to the more structured
approach of the Middle School due to the
liaison between the teaching staff of
both schools. The curriculum aims to
provide an academic and practical
education which develops and increases
skills, concepts, knowledge and good
study methods essential to further
education in later years.
| SPECIFIC
OBJECTIVES |
 |
In addition to the general objectives
described in Secondary
School, we also aim:
- to provide students with a firm
foundation in all subjects,
leading them from the basic
training of the Elementary School
to the academic and social
challenges of the High School
- to provide a school for the
international community offering
the highest standards in
education both for those who wish
to pursue schooling through the
High School and to facilitate
transfer to other international
schools around the world
- to deliver the essential elements
of the British and Italian
programmes in such a way that
skills are developed alongside
knowledge, and the students
become thoughtful, creative and
valuable members of the
international community
- to prepare students for life in a
rapidly changing global
community, appreciating the inter-dependence
of all peoples and communities of
the world
We achieve this by creating a
welcoming, supportive, calm and organised
environment where high expectations are
paramount to realising every individuals
positive self-esteem and full potential.
We respect equality and diversity, and
encourage teamwork and co-operation.

British system of education.
The language of instruction is English
(apart from the Italian lessons).The
subjects studied are Art, English,
Geography, History, I.T., Italian,
Mathematics, Music, P.E., Science and

Experience of language is further
extended by the introduction of a third

Spanish, at the beginning of grade 6.
Non-Italian students also learn
Italian at an appropriate level.
The linguistic and literary areas of
the curriculum are increased to extend
students experience, understanding
and command of both the English and
Italian language. School trips include
visits to the theatre to see productions
performed in English, field trips with a
